6/14/2010 - Theft

On 6/6/10, the Kenai Police Department responded to a report of a large amount of cable theft from an area business storage yard.  Suspects are cutting cables from units, stripping the coverings and selling the wire for scrap.

5/31/2010 - Murder
The Alaska State Troopers and Crime Stoppers are asking for assistance from the public to help solve a cold case murder.  On 1/14/1977, Florance Tagala, age 64, was found murdered in her residence on Echo Lake Road, after emergency units responded to a report of a structure fire.

5/24/2010 - Theft

On 5/19/10, the Soldotna Police Department received a report  that sometime between 2330 hours on 5/17/10 and 0900 hours on 5/19/10,  two unlocked vehicles on Henrich Street were entered and a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun model 59, a 10 x 40 power Leopold binocular, and an Ipod docking station  were stolen.

5/10/2010 - Burglary

On 5/9/10, the Alaska State Troopers received three separate reports of burglary and theft from residences on Pederson, Aspen Drive, and Rilinda.  Forced entry was made to the residences with multiple items removed.

3/29/2010 - Burglary
On Monday, March 8th, 2010 at 6:51 pm the Soldotna Police Department responded to a report of a burglary at 322 Redoubt.  A 12 gauge shotgun, .22 rifle, alcohol, change and collector coins were taken, with a total value of about $800. There was no damage to the building.   The burglary occurred between 3:45 pm and 6:30 pm.

As of 3/14/10, the Alaska State Troopers and Peninsula Crime Stoppers are looking for assistance in the capture of GLEN GRIMM, age 24 of Kasilof.  GRIMM has several outstanding arrest warrants with the most recent being a $50,000 warrant for criminal charges of Robbery 1st Degree, Burglary 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree, and Theft 2nd Degree.

2/15/2010 - Vehicle Theft

On 2/11/10, the Kenai Police Department received a report of a stolen vehicle.  Sometime between 2/10/10 at 1500 hours and 2/11/10 at 1000 hours, an unknown subject stole an unlocked vehicle from the short term parking lot of the Kenai Airport.  The vehicle is a silver 2002 Chevrolet Suburban, Alaska license plate ECN589.

1/24/2010 - Wanted Subjects

As of 1/24/10, law enforcement is still seeking the arrest of ERIC ALLEN GRAHAM, age 35 of Kenai, on four outstanding warrants on charges of Burglary, Misconduct Controlled Substance, Criminal Mischief and Assault.  Related family member, RICARDO DIAZ JR, age 47 of California, is also wanted on a charge of Misconduct Controlled Substance 2nd Degree with a bail amount of $75,000.  Both wanted subjects may be together.

1/23/2010 - Attempted Murder of Police Officer

On 1/9/10, Officer Allen of the Anchorage Police Department was the victim of a murder attempt while he was on duty.  Central Peninsula Crime Stoppers has joined with other organizations in contributing money to the fund to aid in the arrest of the responsible suspects.  Central Peninsula Crime Stoppers has pledged the maximum allotted reward amount of $1000 towards the Anchorage Police Department’s reward fund of $25,000.

1/3/2010 - Wanted Subject/Endangered Minor

Since 12/16/09, the Alaska State Troopers are attempting to locate Anchor Point area resident Chaunce Hoxie, a 20 year old male who has a couple of warrants and is believed to be in the presence of a 15 year old female runaway.  Hoxie has outstanding warrants for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Minor Consuming Alcohol.

 

Hoxie arrested through citizen involvement but not through Crime Stoppers.
